Originally from Venezuela, I moved to New York City in 2016. I am an ESL teacher, Social Media Manager, entrepreneur, and soon an influencer.

I come from a small town near the Venezuelan Andes, where everyone knows each other. Since I was a kid, I have been using my imagination to travel around the world, even though in real life, I have not been able to do it.

Being honest, I do not know when it started, but I know it was many years ago when I found myself fascinated by the city that never sleeps: New York City. I remember the first time I visited the Big Apple in 2012, and two things that come to my mind every time I recall that visit, “I feel I am in a movie” and “It’s freaking expensive!”. I am pretty sure you agree with me about those two ideas - especially the second one - if you have been in the city already; if not, then get ready.

After living here for several years, and exploring the city thanks to my job and hobbies, I realized that there are so many places that do not appear in any THINGS TO DO IN NEW YORK lists or websites.

So, of course, being the creative and passionate person that I am, I have decided to share with you my discoveries and experiences in the city that I love the most, and be sure that you will find here what you need to enjoy New York like a real New Yorker without having to break the bank.
